CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Alberta Early Years Conferences are planned by grassroots programs and are done on a cost recovery basis, not for profit, with an intent to make the conference as affordable and accessible as possible to as many as possible in the not-for-profit sector. We are extremely proud of our ability, and the willingness of our presenters, to keep the registration costs as low as they have been for such a well-received and high quality conference

Who Attends?  The conferences are primarily for professionals, volunteers and policy makers who work in the field of early intervention with families and their children (birth to 6 years) who are at risk of or who have a developmental delay or disability  These professionals include, but are not limited to, early intervention workers, social workers, program administrators, speech and language professionals, child care workers, family literacy programs, early head start and head start programs and community health workers; with the vast majority being from the not-for-profit sector.

What are our Goals?  It is our desire to provide the 400 conference participants, with inspirational speakers and topics that focus on new understandings of and approaches to supporting healthy early childhood development and the advancement of early education practices and policies.  Some of our past keynote speakers have included Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Carl Dunst, Mary Gordon, Dr. Clyde Hertzman, Dr. Lonnie Zwaigenbaum, Dr. Gordon Neufeld and Dr. Stuart Shanker.

What are our timelines?
